These downrods by Fanimation are available in multiple finishes and lengths and will fit many installation needs. Recommended downrod length is based on ceiling height, with an ideal distance from floor to fan blades being 7 to 9 feet. This down rod for a clean complement to your existing ceiling fan. Tapered threaded ends ensure a deeper connection and stronger bond for maximum durability. For optimum performance and safety, ceiling fan blades should be at least 7 feet from the floor but no higher than 8 to 9 feet in order to best cool a room. For ceilings 9 feet and higher, an extension down rod is required to bring the ceiling fan down to the proper height above the floor.

This stem extension kit is for use with fixtures requiring additional overall length for installation on higher ceilings. At least one link of the chain will still be required at the top. Stems are finished to match Progress Lighting products. The kit includes (2) 12 in. and (2) 15 in. stems and 1/8IP threaded connectors. Chain links are not included.
