Picked this up for a spare bedroom that doesn’t get much airflow. The fan is stronger than I expected, and the cooling packs make a noticeable difference if you’re close to the unit. It’s also pretty quiet on the lower settings, so I can leave it running while I’m working or watching TV. Just don’t expect it to cool an entire house like an air conditioner. The evaporator arrived quickly and damage free. It is larger than I expected. I was kind of skeptical that this would cool down my patio. To my surprise, it did exactly that. The instructions were vague but I was able to figure out how to use it. When I turned it on, it took about 2 minutes before it started blowing cool air. I was amazed of the volume of air this unit pushes and it was at low fan speed. Adding ice packs cools the air down even more. I will be buying another one for my garage. I would recommend this unit.. Tommy. Loxahatchee, FL. Sun May 10 2026

I struggled to give this 4 stars - i have a feeling swamp coolers in general arent very effective and we bought it for a bedroom that is above the garage that in above 100 degree temps outside, was a good 5+ degrees hotter than the rest of the upstairs - so perhaps too much of a challenge for such a system. But it definitely didnt cool the room down, though it did emit a lovely, quiet flow of air that felt slightly cooler than room temp. It was easy to put together but note - you have to plug in the little hose or it will leak everywhere when you put water in! Comes with ice packs and a remote and takes up little space. I think it would be nice to give a little extra "fan" feeling in a room, or if blowing directly in you and you keep up with the ice packs, will probably cool you better than a fan. But its not likely to actually lower the room temp as claimed, especially if your room is already hot.. Stuart. Lutz, FL. Thu Aug 27 2026
