These are just what I need to keep my canopy cover from blowing off my pergola. We get very strong winds and before this I’ve had to run outside and take off the cover manually. Once we figured out the trick to making the holes not too big, and not too small, everything worked, but ... finding the trick to that (which might not be the best way, hopefully there could be a better way documented than producing a template and using a knife to score an "x" that was just a little smaller than the innermost diameter) was a touch tricky via experimentation. Decent brackets for the money. Pros: Affordable. Dimensionally they are very consistent. Cons: I did have one start to separate at the top. I don't fault the bracket. I believe it happened when we were trying to stand the Pergola. I did order some corner braces as well to keep everything from swaying. One tip I would give is make sure you check fitment with your lumber before you assemble. I had to sand all of my pressure treated posts and check fit.
