I purchased these chairs as an alternative to the heavier Adirondack chairs you typically see. These will have to be removed from a grass area every week so I needed something I can stack and move with ease. They are a bit heavier than I expected, but still much lighter than a traditional Adirondack chair. While they do stack, they don’t stack in a tight stack. They are very comfortable and seem sturdy. These chairs are awesome! They replaced the traditional wooden Adirondack chairs with many slats. They were wooden and therefore had to be constantly repainted. Mother Nature won out in the end. This is a heavy, well-made chair. The poly boards feel thick, the frame does not flex, and it sits firmly once it is together. The recline is comfortable and the seat is generous. It is also much larger than I expected from the listing photos, so measure your space before you buy. I have assembled several of these poly Adirondack-style chairs. These were the worst instructions I have used. You essentially get four low-quality drawings. I had to figure most of it out myself. The one useful part is that you can usually tell which screws belong on each step. If you have put a lot of these together, you will get through it. If this is your first one, expect some frustration. I am docking a star for the hardware finish. Some screw heads are recessed many are not. The leftover silver screws stand out against the navy boards. Recessing the rest and adding caps, or using paintedcolor-matched screws, would be a cheap fix and would make the chair look finished instead of half-assembled.
