Purchased these to supplement broken pool light. These solar lights are decent. Not as bright as I had hoped. They require being attached to a string held down by weights (used rocks) not provided. I suppose they don’t really need to be weighted down but won’t stay in place of choice, obviously. Something else to consider-robot pool vacuum will get caught up in solar lights string. I really like the concept of these lights however, I did not think they would sink to the bottom of the pool. Once the lights are submerged in the pool, there is no way that the remote works. The lights just stay on at the bottom of the pool. In my opinion, it just takes way too many batteries. 12 AA and four of the 2032 batteries. It would be nice if only one remote would control all the factors combined instead of one remote per unit. I just felt it was too much work to do. I like this versatile light/stool! My only issue is the grade of plastic used to make it weatherproof…it gets dingy pretty quickly, so when it’s not on the cube isn’t as pretty as it was on day one.
