This is a beautiful fixture, highly recommend. We're using it above our rectangular dining room table. The wood is light and the matte brass is a very nice, subdued tone. It's much less yellow than many brushed brass fixtures (which I like); but be aware if you're trying to match any existing finishes. I love, love, love this chandelier! I've looked long and hard for a chandelier to go above our table in the sunroom. This one is perfect! I got the 24 inch diameter to go over a 48 inch table. We have 10 foot ceilings so I used all the extenders and it's the perfect height above the table. I put 40 watt instead of 60 watt bulbs in - there are six, and I get plenty of light. The down light in the center is great if you are working a puzzle or playing cards or anything that needs task light. I love that there's a switch on the light so you can just have the chandelier bulbs on or just the down light or both. The shade is very nice fabric and the antique brass banding makes it looks finished and defined. After replacing every light in this house and extensive shopping, I can say this light looks much more expensive than it is. It came quickly and even though the box was soaking wet on one side when it was delivered, the light was so well packed it was in perfect shape. I am thrilled with this chandelier!. Jen. NC.
