The floating shelf looks exactly like the pictures—10/10! It's beautiful, sturdy, and looks great once it's installed. The instructions said there were 14 steps, but it definitely felt like there were a lot more. Even so, one person was able to put it together, although it took a little over 3 hours. The drawers were a bit finicky to get aligned, but with some patience we were able to get them working properly in the end. This TV console turned out exactly how I envisioned it! I have a 75-inch TV and purchased two of these consoles to create a longer, custom built-in look. I do recommend purchasing L-brackets for extra support. Before adding them, the center section sagged slightly, but once the brackets were installed, everything was sturdy and perfectly level. We also made several custom modifications to fit our setup. We added Govee lights, drilled holes for cable, and created openings inside each cabinet to route all of the wires through, which gave everything a clean, seamless appearance. Quality construction and well built. The drawers are actually drop down doors and there is only 3 on the shorter version that I purchased not 4 as stated in description. I’m actually liking the drop down doors better than drawers as it maximizing space inside a small compartment and the door hinges and soft close hardware are quality upgrades. Fully assembled was exactly that … open the box and hang the unit. Well packaged with plenty of protection from the rigors of shipping … and they got it out for delivery in very short order. We haven’t completely finished assembling this TV stand yet, but I already wanted to leave a review because we are so impressed with it. I got this little floating cabinet to fit in a corner of empty space in my office. It fits perfectly and I can store thing inside while also using the top for a legal size file folder and a paper tray! It’s awesome! We bought an 85" TV and wanted this 70.8" wide, Light Oak, floating tv console to hide cords and other small electronics inside the cabinet for a clean look. The back has a wooden panel so we used a saw and cut out an opening where our outlets are on the wall. It is very heavy, so make sure you have something to hold it up on while you drill into the studs in the wall. Installation takes a while and I would definitely recommend 2 people. The piece itself is overall as advertised, and was fairly easy to build assuming you have help. However, there is a fundamental flaw in the mounts. The entire unit is about 70lbs on its own, and is designed to be held up entirely by 4 dry wall anchors. This is not nearly enough to support it and it will rip them clean out of your dry wall. This is without putting any additional weight in the ample amount of storage space. The 4 mounting points for this unit are in fixed locations that are not properly spaced for studs, but mounting to the wall studs is a necessity- especially if it will bear the weight of any expensive media equipment. You are provided only 4 screws and dry wall anchors to mount it. If you do plan to purchase, it will be absolutely necessary that you identify the studs in your drywall, and craft your own mount to fix this unit to the studs, as it will not be provided and will be required to safely mount and store anything..
