Perfect size table for my stainless steel microwave. Eliminates countertop or over-the-range placement. The shelf can be installed at your desired height. Also, I like the stabilizing tips on the legs instead of rolling casters. Overall, the table is easy to assemble by one person. I received an immediate compliment after the microwave was placed on the table top and stainless steel bowls were placed on the shelf. I deducted a star because of the manufacturer’s lack of quality control before packaging the table. There were several long scratches through the protective film onto the top of the shelf. Overall it is a nice kitchen island and is what I was looking for. I was worried that the island might be too big, but it has a nice size and decent working height. The stainless steel top will help provide a hygienic surface when I perform tasks like making sausages. The open shelves will help for storing the fry pans and Dutch ovens that are usually clumsier to put in the cupboards. The side compartments will help for storing the cat food. The kitchen island will be more useful than the kitchen table I never used. The unit ships in two major pieces - the top and the lower part. There are also two smaller counter supports for the overhung section. The top is very heavy. It is bonded to a thick section of wood. Assembly is pretty easy with about 8 fasteners. The stainless steel corners of the top have some grinding marks on it and give the corners a slightly different color. They could have been buffed better but are acceptable. I broke a drawer pull during assembly. They are installed on the inside of the drawer. I did not realize that the pulls had posts that went part of the way into the hole. When removing the pull to put it on the outside. One half of the pull came out and the pull broke. Partially it was my fault but the pulls are flimsy and thin. I managed to order some solid brass pulls, so I recovered. If you order extract the pulls evenly when relocating.. Dave S. Minneapolis. Sun Apr 14 2024
