It gets tall enough to use as a podium or standing desk, but lowers enough to fit comfortably next to a platform bed, modern couch, or lounge chair. The up/down mechanism is ergonomic, and the manual tilt bar locks securely into plenty of angle options. I also love the size...it easily fits my laptop, a notebook, and a food tray. We love the design and color. It fits really well in our living room and definitely elevates it. It looks way more modern and luxury compared to the previous TV table that we had in here which looks old-fashioned and takes up too much space. The only reason we would give this four stars and not five stars is two things. First, the lubricant on the swivel that allows the table to turn back-and-forth can bunch up and smear a little bit on clothes or on a pillow you don’t wipe it before you put it in your living room. We wiped it down and now it’s fine not a big deal but something to be aware of when you bring it to your own living room. Second, it’s not that we expected the table to be super strong and sturdy and carry a lot of things, but it does tip a little bit when we have a plate and a cup on it at the same time that are full. Ultimately it’s really important to realize that this is more for aesthetics than for function because of the center of gravity.
