So the picture of this shows a dark, tarnish-colored product. I was surprised when I received it in the mail to discover it was actually a bright, polished silver color. The finish is matte, so it's not reflective metal or anything, but definitely is polished silver in color. It also has an orange light around the button itself which I don't think was disclosed in the description. Overall, I like the way it looks, but definitely wasn't the product I thought I was buying. Button only took a couple of minutes to install. Super simple. Works well.. Melissa. Mandan, ND. Sat Jul 30 2016

Add some rustic quality and old-world charm to your doorway with the Classic decorative iron-wired doorbell. Featuring the push button front and center, the narrow plate tapers to a fleur de lis at each end for an elegant touch. Made from cast iron, it has a hammered texture and is powder-coated black for durability and style. The Classic doorbell pairs well with vintage homes but is so versatile that it complements rustic, traditional, farmhouse, cottage, and Victorian exteriors as well. This recessed-mount doorbell can be installed onto any flat surface where the button mechanism can sit within the wall at least 5/8 inches to connect to most standard wired doorbell systems. Once installed, the matching black screws sit flush in the countersunk holes for a clean, finished look.

In nature's beautiful design, the scallop shell has many lines that radiate from a single point. This Scallop Doorbell Ringer is a good reminder that home may be the starting point for all of your life's adventures.

Very impressed with the quality of the doorbell. Came wrapped and boxed in what looked like a watch box. Very classy presentation. Would make a perfect gift! Had to mount it on a block to center it due to where the wires were. Goes nicely with my bronze door handle. All brass so should hold up to the ocean air.. Sue. Rhode Island. Fri Oct 15 2021
