Wow! This was a fabulous gift for my husband who works from home but his office chair has now scraped up a section of our hard wood floors. This glass mat is very thick and sturdy especially for a man who weighs 240 lbs! The mat was delivered with 3 diff types of floor protectors clearly outlined for flat surfaces, rug surfaces or carpet surfaces. That was a great idea! I used to buy the see-through plastic mats for the chair to roll around on, but decided to try Wayfair's suggestion in regards to this type of mat. I'm glad I did. Pros- This glass mat is incredibly heavy and durable, you can tell it is built to last. It is also extremely stable, it stays perfectly in place on the floor and does not slide around at all. It looks very high quality and gives a luxury feel to the room, definitely like a premium product. My chair glides on it effortlessly. Cons- I found that it attracts a lot of dust that is hard to ignore. The biggest annoyance for me is that it is difficult to clean, my vacuum cleaner struggles to go over it properly. The chair mat provides the protection I needed for my wood floor. It lays down flat to the floor as I hoped it would, it blends into the area around my desk and floor, the mat is just the right thickness to protect the floor, and thin enough that I am not be jarred the times I might roll off the mat..
