Very nice table, perfect for temporary use until we find a more permanent table. It took longer to unpack the table than to put it together. We used the 30" pole for the right height for the chairs. No tools needed to assemble the pole has 2 notches to lock in to the top of the table. It would have been nice to have the same notches to lock for the bottom legs too. It has a 1.25" thick high-pressure laminate top that's durable and easy to clean. The top has a long-lasting edge that won't crack or peel. The solid cast iron legs have leveling glides to prevent the table from wobbling on uneven floors. The center column base is 3" in diameter and is made of 16 gauge steel. Easy to assemble. Tops are hand-made and stained in the USA.

Very sturdy table with nice walnut finish. Will mark easily because underneath side of table delivered with a couple of dents, but top is good. 40” is good size for 4 people.
