this is an excellent piece. The construction is amazing. They only had to put on the legs and the four knobs. I personally think the piece should have been 400.00 to 500.00 less when I compared it with other pieces. I only paid this much because it fit perfect and the style is what I needed. I love this bookcase, love the mid century design. Finding something that's not a basic bookcase, or not old-fashioned "traditional", with doors, was hard - but this fits my aesthetic. It was as described. I downsized from a desk with a hutch and a 24" x 24" bookcase. I wanted something that could hide the really utilitarian stuff, so didn't want a regular, all open shelves book case. I was worried because so many reviews said the product came damaged. One of the feet had a scratch on it, so I just put that one in the back. It did require a good wiping off of all the factory dust. It was easy to put together by myself, I think about an hour.
