The specs say the wood is weather treated but it doesn’t feel like it. Only time will tell. With the waterproof zipper interior attached to the top hatch, it doesn’t close flush. So I removed the top part from the Velcro to have it close properly. The top hatch comes in 2 separate pieces so you can open them separately but if you want it to be all one piece, you’ll have to find a way to glue or clamp that yourself. Seems to be very sturdy. The hinges on the lid are great. They hold the top open so you can load things into the bin. Bought it to store cushions from a patio set will easily hold 12 cushions size of each is 24 x 24” with room for a few more items. The shed is a good, compact size and was purchased specifically to comply with the HOA’s strict height limitations. It just makes the maximum height allowed.
