This is a terrific little system! I am a tea drinker and my husband let it slip that the UK has hot water on demand in many places... I asked if we could and lo and behold! Installation was easy*, although we didn't use the supplied filter as we have it going through a filter system already. The temperature isn't exact, so we did have to mess with the dial a little. It doesn't take up room underneath the cabinet either. *There's a crimp piece required. The metal one didn't fit properly, and they provided a plastic one also which worked, but barely.. I called Wayfair about this product description but was told she thought it was accurate. I questioned why- what looks obviously like a counter top unit- is being described as under counter. After moving into our new home, we quickly discovered just how hard the water was. It was such a noticeable difference that we were actually driving back to our previous house just to shower while we researched a solution. Installing this water softener completely changed that. We've now been using it for well over a year, and I honestly can't imagine living without it. Our water feels much softer, soap lathers better, and our skin and hair no longer feel dry after showering. We've also noticed fewer hard water spots on our fixtures and dishes, and it's reassuring to know our plumbing and appliances are better protected from mineral buildup over time. The system has been dependable, easy to maintain, and has required very little attention beyond keeping the salt topped off. Once it's set up, it simply does its job in the background. The only thing that was inconsistent was the picture on the site shows a brass T fitting and the unit comes with a plastic T fitting. This is somewhat deceiving for the price you pay for the unit. I received the UV filter and found that it had 3/4" connections. I went to the website to check the connection size and discovered that the spec is not listed. I did not notice when purchasing so the mistake is on me. I will hold onto the filter until I have a use for 3/4 connections. Very disappointing that you feel the need to omit an important spec..
