The Jora Composter simplifies and speeds up the process of making compost. It is a 'continuous-use' dual chamber composter. Dual chambers allow you to keep adding new materials to one compartment while the other matures. Because the unit is insulated and sealed, it converts kitchen waste to compost in 2-8 weeks. It was out of stock for months and is seriously expensive so I knocked it down a star. At first, when I ordered it they said I wouldn't get it for several more months (we're looking at close to a year wait at this point) but it showed up just a week after my order went through. The composter itself looks sturdy though it's too new to tell for long-term durability. It was easy to put together. I had my heart set on THIS composter, and sadly couldn't find it anywhere else, trust me I looked. I planned to turn it into R2D2. Which I did. The body took the spray paint well. I love this thing but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for everyone. If you know a lot about composting and gardening than you know that dehydrated ground food is not the same as finished compost. I have a large pot in my yard that I’ve been dumping the output into with plans to incorporate it in my soil when the rainy season comes back. That way the salt will wash away quickly and the food particles will break down before they have time to become a problem. I’d recommend understanding how decomposition works in your own climate before deciding how you plan to deal with your output. The actual problem it solves for me is keeping my kitchen clean without having to deal with the smells and textures of food waste. Where I live trash is only collected once every two weeks so putting food scraps in the trash is not really an option. I have to collect compostable and either compost myself or put them in the city compost bin. For 90 of people I don’t think that’s much of a problem, but I have a pretty weak stomach for the site and smell of decomposing food. I find I’ll avoid opening the lid of my kitchen compost container until it gets an even grosser and the scraps in my sink do as well. This device lets me just shrink them all down without having to watch or smell anything decompose. Ad if I accidentally let something spoil in my fridge I just put it in and press a button. The color issue is for Wayfair customer service and shouldn't affect the product quality review. The way they show it installed on the side of the house is pretty troublesome too. Loving this new backyard compost bin to replace our old one. There’s so much to like about this new COMPOSTING BIN FROM WAYFAIR 1. It is very sturdy and easy to use 2. It has 2 separate bins within the 50 gallon barrel design which rotates for faster composting of yard leaves and kitchen plant-based scraps 3. It is raised above the ground on a stand to keep the squirrels ️ and other rodents away that had been raiding our last bin 4. It has easy access to each of the 2 bins with just the turn of the bright green knob to open it 5. It blends beautifully into our backyard which is surrounded by trees and greenery which attracts lots of birds 6. WORD OF CAUTION from my Hubbie who put this together for me. The assembly was quite challenging and this took him about 3 hours to turn all the pieces into the completed bin.
