The desk arrived with no broken pieces, so a good start. All pieces and hardware were labeled per the instructions. I had no issues putting it together in an afternoon with my husband. The only annoyance being switching up the size of the allen wrench screws a few times. I gave this desk 4 stars because while it is very spacious and has a great amount of storage, it is mostly made of mdf. You had to be careful putting in screws to not leave cracks. Due to this, I am unsure of the longevity of this piece. I only intend to use it for crafting and as a vanity space, so there shouldn’t be too much wear on it. The LEDs that come with are kind of trash. They stopped sticking the day of install. All parts and screws were intact, holes were pre-drilled, and the directions were understandable - though sometimes I needed to study them for a minute. I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. This is a beautiful desk. Looks just as good as it does in the picture. The chairs in my photo are also from Wayfair. I recommend paying the money to assemble. It took the two-person crew three hours. But it looks perfect. However, long after the assembly crew left, I realized the light on the front of the desk does not work.
