I paid $650 for this desk on sale. Very disappointed in the quality. First, it is made of very light wood, pine I would guess. There are blemishes on the top where defects must have filled with putty or sawdust. The corners were damaged in shipping and do not look easily repairable (see photos). If you're in the market for an executive desk, why not consider this one? This rustic-style desk is perfect for both study and office use.

This is a gorgeous desk that has many features. However, there are so many countless parts and pieces you have to put together, til it will take you more than one or even two days to assemble! You literally have to build this desk from bottom to top. Nothing is pre-assembled. I order this desk in the dark rustic oak. The picture on the website makes the desk appear to have reddish brown undertones, which i was hoping for but what i received is more like rustic dark walnut color, which is still very beautiful. The actual desk has three different size drawers on the left side and two different size cabinet doors with one drawer on the right side. But because of the desks design, both sides match perfectly without anyone ever knowing they are different. This clever design creates more storage room. There is even a keyboard tray that can slide out and tucked away. There is a plenty of room on top of the desk to put my computer, printer and other office items. The hutch assembled and attached to the desk with screws and metal at the back. There should have been some type of attachment to secure the hutch to the front to add to its stability. The hutch has 2 roomy cabinets with an open middle part you can place books or files in. It also has 3 slots you can place smaller items like a stapler, or sticky notes in. There are also places that you can plug all of your electronic. This desk is very heavy and appears to be very durable. I am looking forward to utilizing this workstation for many years to come.
