UPDATE 7 months later the fabric is not standing up well. It pills very easily and the back cushions are losing their shape - even though we rotate them. ___ This sofa is a great option if you’re looking for something slightly elevated on a budget. The slipcovers fit really well - my one complaint (hence the 4 stars) is that there is some drooping along the front panel of the slipcover. The fabric is lovely. It was really simple to assemble - it took 2 of us about 20 minutes. And there is a center support leg for additional sturdiness. This was purchased as an affordable option. I ordered in brown, and this item is certainly more peanut butter (BUT, I still love it). It did force me to make additional design upgrades, but all worth it for the final product. It is perfect for a small space, but anyone over 510 will not be able to lay flat to relax. Also, it isnt very deep. Id love to have coordinating Ottoman but it requires the manufacturer to produce so that I can have a match in the color. Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. Truly a beautiful, comfy couch. We have had it for a little over a year now and love it. It’s very cushy and has great depth. It’s also super easy to clean—most spills/dirt can be wiped with a wet paper towel without a sign of it if you are quick enough. We use hand held carpet cleaner for the more difficult ones, and it comes out easily with that. The fabric is starting to pill, but that’s expected and really my only complaint. Update 3 years in--still beautiful. Got lazy and put the cushion covers in the washer/dryer on low heat instead of using the carpet cleaner, and they came out completely fine & look brand new! Ok, hang on, because I wasnt expecting this to be this quality for the price. This couch is deep! The cushions are very comfortable, even better after about a week when everything is poofed up. This is absolutely perfect if you have dogs, everything just wipes right off of it. I have 2 larger dogs that rassle and bounce off the cushions and the back of it when they are zooming and chasing each other, there arent any scratches or anything on it yet, although Im sure with these dogs there will be eventually. Its actually really good for sleeping! My brother in law has been crashing on our couch for a few weeks, and when we added this one to our game room, he relocated himself to it. It was fairly easy to put together, therer was one point where I needed a hand lining up two opposite sided at the same time (to slide the back support down into its holder. It took me about an hour to asssemble but I was also watching an Astros game while I was doing it. As another review stated there are some plastic parts, but I found no issue with any of them. You cannot tell the legs are plastic unless you are screwing them on. This couch definitely needs to back up to a wall or maybe a sofa table because the back of it velcros down the middle, and that whole back upholstery part just kind of hangs straight down, think..... like a bed skirt. Thats a good comparison. When I was assembling I was afraid it was going to be low, but it is normal couch height. I very often find myself kicked back on it laying down with my head on the armrest, it doesnt need a bunch if pillows to be comfortable. The color is exactly like it looked on the listing. Im very happy with this couch. Would be great for a starter home, game room, apt., condo, etc... if youre into the PBarn or RH feel of a room, this isnt the couch for you. It would not flow seamlessly with high quality designer furniture or real leather, but us normal folks, its a great buy. Sitting down in the middle of the couch can hurt if you flip down, bc there’s a hard central bar there and nowhere near enough supportive cushion. So you will need to always sit down gingerly! I don’t know if I can get a refund for this, but after setting it all up, for quite some time it was such hard work I really feel like I can’t do any more work. I purchased 2 of these sofas to stage/furnish a lake house project. I loved the fact they were slipcovers & for my space, they were the perfect size. I was able to put them (both) together by myself in a couple hours so that was a plus as well! They are not the most 'soft' sofas I've ever owned but maybe with time they'll soften. UPDATE the center leg kept bending sideways and the couch would fall down! Today the leg completely broke off. It’s just me in the home with the dog and we are gentle. Very disappointed!! Need new couch. Delivery day I wanted to love this couch, and there are things I really do like about it—but unfortunately, the negatives were hard to overlook. First off, the screws around the frame were difficult to get in because the foam was too thick and the screws wouldn’t catch the threads properly. It took much longer than it should have, and I had to redo sections multiple times. To make matters worse, the included Allen key stripped after just a couple of screws and didn’t fit the bolts properly. If you’re putting it together, definitely use your own tools. One of the most frustrating parts was the seat slats. You can’t get them in unless you loosen up the frame again after you’ve already secured it—which feels like going backwards and risks everything slipping out of place. Now that it’s assembled, I’ve been trying to enjoy it. The beige color is absolutely gorgeous—a warm, slightly speckled tone that fits beautifully with my decor. That’s definitely a highlight. Another major plus the entire couch is washable, which is rare and incredibly practical. That feature is probably the biggest trade-off for the comfort issues. Speaking of comfort—the seat cushions are very firm and slope down toward the center, so if you’re not sitting dead center, it can feel awkward. I’m hoping they loosen up over time, but for now, they’re not great for lounging. The back cushions are soft but under-filled, and the back itself is quite low—not nearly as supportive as it looks in the pictures. I’m planning to add throw pillows (maybe even a fluffy seat topper) to make it more livable. Overall, it’s a beautiful-looking couch with some thoughtful features like the washable covers, but the comfort and assembly left a lot to be desired.
