Couch arrived exactly as specified. Delivery was fast. I snapped a photo of how the sofa arrived, as delivered. It was wrapped well, with legs packaged under the seat. It took me, one person, less than 20 minutes to assemble.
The other photo depicts the color in a natural light environment (ours is directly in front of a large window), which I think is helpful. The wall color, for contrast, is slate. Cream carpet and fire place. The azure color of the sofa is a rather vibrant blue, closer to teal than royal blue.
Sofa seats do not come off and are very deep. As a person with long legs, I can sit all the way back in the seat and my feet barely touch the ground. The seat cushion is very firm, which we wanted. I am hopeful that the cushion and fabric will hold up well over time. When I sat in it for just a few minutes I noticed a slight dimple in where the fabric stretched. It eventually formed up again, but if this sofa is in a high-use spot and you tend to sit in the same spot repeatedly, you will probably notice wear and tear in the fabric and cushions. We measured dimensions, so I realized this before purchase, but the back height is lower than a traditional sofa. It comes up to about my shoulder blades. This is not a deficit, just something to be aware of. The sofa height we had previously was a traditional shoulder-height back, so this is an adjustment.
Overall, we are very happy with the style, fabric, and the Wayfair descriptions of this product were accurate. Construction seems sturdy. The color photos I posted may be helpful for those in our same situation with a natural light filled room. I like the color of the fabric, but the color is deeper in dark lights and much brighter in natural light.. Valerie. Madison, IN. Wed Mar 13 2019
