Make sure to check the description for assembly instructions, as they do not come printed with the product. Also, there is a plastic plug (see photo) that is zip tied to the top of the lift. Make sure to cut this off before assembling. This step is not included in the assembly instructions and I didn’t realize the plug was there until I had assembled the first desk and saw that the lift didn’t work. I, at first, thought the lift was defective but realized the issue when assembling the second desk. I had to partially take apart the first one to cut the plug out. This is a very quality desk and would have been just what we needed, but I could not get it together. The instructions are very minimal and did not seem to match the item. The biggest problem, when I put the screw through the legs to screw it into the base of the desk, it would not go. The hole in the metal plate of the desk did not line up with the hole in the legs. Exactly as described, easy to put together (my kids did it together). Very solid. Very heavy (20kg or 45lb), which makes it hard to move on our carpet. Comes with caster wheels and sliders in case you don't want the casters. The height range given (29"-42") is with casters; it's lower by about 2.5" if you don't install the casters. Not what I envisioned as a home desk, but I'm very pleased with this purchase. Well made, simple, solid construction.
