This durable outdoor cat house features SF-grade spruce wood construction and waterproof plastic shingle roofing for weather resistance. I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! I got some exterior white paint just in case I feel it needs a bit more protection from the elements. Well I hope this review helps. We are pleased. Tami. Sun May 17 2026

Very nice Catio but installation takes way longer than 60 minutes. The pad they state comes with it did not come with it. Some pictures on the printed instructions were backwards. I’m sure our cats will love it when they get in it.. Margi. TX. Mon Sep 28 2026

Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. We were missing 7 main screws but nothing we couldn’t get at the stores. We have three heavy/fat cats. Overall I’d say if you would like a safe and spacious enclosure for your cats this is nice.. Why Your Cats Need a Catio? The outdoors is full of potential dangers for cats. Toxins, predators, vehicles, and even the potential of getting lost can all threaten your cat’s life. But that doesn’t mean that your indoor-only cat can’t enjoy the outdoors. A practical solution is getting a catio, which lets your cat go outdoors and enjoy plenty of fresh air while still being safely contained. If your indoor cat is bored or spends lots of time looking out the window, he might enjoy a catio.

We were looking for a safe way to let our indoor cats be with us outside (because lets face it, all cats want to go outside) without them running around the neighborhood, getting lost, or hurting themselves. Welp, this was the answer! Right away, our cats had different reactions. One seemed to be content and immediately took to it. The other seemed to feel threatened initially, like she was being put in a big cage (instead of being allowed safely outside as a treat). But, after we let the second cat stay in it by herself for awhile while we worked outside in the garden, she grew more and more content and actually started to thoroughly enjoy her time in the habitat, not wanting to go back in the house. :) We are planning to put in some cat beds and a water dish and a kitty litter on the bottom. Great option, safe, sort of OK to put together (you have to be on the inside of the cage often), and overall sturdy and well put together. Also, it's cedar wood which is FANTASTIC.. Megan. US. This is excellent! I wasn’t too hard to put together —only needed a drill. I added artificial grass underneath and a screen around to keep out mosquitos.
