Please note that this is not the cat gate. This is Extra Bar that is exclusively designed to extend Richell Cat Safety Gate. (sold separately) The Cat Safety Gate Extra Bar is designed for extra protection and narrows the space between each bar or your wall. Please note that Extra Bars do not physically extend the gate further than the original adjuster bolts allow. The Extra Bars are designed to allow for an opening wider than 37.5” without compromising the safety of your pets. While the distance between each bar can be adjusted, we highly recommend that the bars are adjusted to be less than 1.8” from each other to prevent cats from squeezing through the sides of the gate.
I think this is a great item. It is the second one we purchased. We have 3 American Curl cats, curious & loveable but also terrors, zoomers, wire chewers and mischief makers. Two brothers and a sister who can not have total run of the house. The gates let us keep them in the kitchen great room area and they cannot jump or climb over the gates. I would highly recommend this product. It looks good, lets the pets see you and works so much better than the makeshift gates we tried to construct. Bought the first one for entrance to kitchen from garage hallway and when I realized that this gate would fit in the hall to the bedrooms it was a done deal. Thank you for a great gates.. Barbara.
