Cat Gate for Doorway, Auto Close Pet Gate with Extension Kits, No Drilling Pressure Mounted Dog Gate for Stairs, Doorways, Kitchen, Hallway

Originally we purchased this 51 tall gate to keep 3 curious cats away from 2, 25lb foster boston terriers. Our smallest cats tries, but cant squeeze through the 1 12 spaces between the bars and the wall. Turns out one of the dogs can jump that high and touch the top of the gate. Thankfully, we keep the dogs contained in a room with a lower floor, adding 8. Lesson-Make sure to get the best height. Only complaint is there is no leverlatch at the bottom to keep the gate swinging in just one direction, like other gates we have. We fear a strong enough pup can ram the bottom open without that latch.. Melanie. PA. Thu Oct 15 2026

Mestuel 55" Extra Tall Cat Gate, 29.5-34.25" W Cat Pet Gate for Doorways/Stairs& Hallways, Extra Tall Cat Gate with 2.75" Extension Kits Auto Close Narrow Gap, Pressure Mounted No Drilling

We are quite impressed with this gate. It is very tall, sturdy, well made, and easy to install. It comes with extra side brackets so the width can be adjusted. We got it for a doorway but now we need to figure out a better place cuz the doorknob bangs into the gate. Thus, gate would have to be reinstalled with every use. . Californianotcali. Roseville, CA.
