It took longer than expected to receive the countertop but it arrived in immaculate condition and looks amazing. I put on 3 thin coats of wipe-on water based satin polyurethane to protect it and sanded lightly with steel wool in between coats. The polyurethane really brought out the color without adding too much sheen - it is gorgeous. I know there were some unfavorable reviews for this countertop but I recommend it highly.. Terrell. **Update** giving one star back because Wayfair sent me a new set (great customer service support) and the new set was newly packaged and the cutting boards fit exactly as expected. Two of the three cutting boards don’t fit into the holder and I’m pretty sure I was sent a return (probably bc they didn’t fit).
