This is really beautiful and seems well made and very sturdy. Delivery was awesome. Very polite, professional guys unloaded it from their truck, fully assembled, and placed it in the room. 4 stars, rather than 5 because the mattress is VERY firm. I slept on it the first night, as a test. Too hard. Last night, though, I slept on it with a good mattress topper, and it was perfect! For those reading these reviews, I’m starting to question the intelligence of those that are saying it took 3 people and was a pain, etc. I put this bed together by myself and it took me about 1.5-2 hours! I think some folks just can’t follow directions or read It would have been easier with help as I had to be pretty flexible to hold the spindles while securing the pieces but I was too impatient to wait on my husband. We could never find a sleeper sofa that was comfortable enough to actually sleep on. This daybed was the solution. The bed was easy to put together and except for a Phillips head screwdriver, they provided all the parts and tools needed. The velvet fabric is very pretty.
