Overall, I’m pleased with the outcome of the bed. Assembling the bed is a timely process. The instructions says two persons are required for assembly. Not true. I completed the job by myself, which is likely the reason it took 7-8 hrs to assemble. Attention to details is necessary for assembly there are very few words in the pamphlet so the pictures are your path. The delivery however did require two ppl to lift. This works really well for my son. He thinks the lights are cool and there are lots of spots to place his books and collections. We had up buy a new mattress though. First we had those foam mattresses and I stabled two but as soon as he sat on the bed, the pillows would fall in between the mattress and the headboard. The new mattress works perfectly. This is such a great bed! My daughter is obsessed with pink as you can tell from the pictures. It is such a fun bed for her! The lights are great and color changing. It seems to be built really nice also. Instructions were great which was so nice! The only things that I would change about this bed are putting a couple extra wheels on the trundle part to make it a little easier to put in and out and having the ability to put the headboard on the left or right end of the bed would be nice but these are not dealbreakers.. The bed is really nice but it was very difficult to assemble. It took two of us 10 hours to put together. We ended up using a lot of our own tools and I expect it would have taken twice as long without those. This bed is beautiful and well made. 8" mattresses fit perfect but doesn't leave much room thick bedding. The trundle glides very smoothly from under the day bed and has lots of versatility.
