This worked out better than we expected for the room because it filled the space perfectly and the dark brown color matched existing doors and blended well with the other furniture. It takes time to assemble (allow several hours) and I am lucky because my roommate is a general contractor so it went well. I bought this unit as well as the Brienne Armoire for a long wall. Parts came in damaged for this cabinet; however, they were quickly replaced. Putting it together wasn't too hard - just had to put the top on out of order because I wouldn't be able to assemble it and then lift it on top of the other cabinet - but it worked. Wasn't too hard to put it all together. I can't agree with all of the reviews - because its not cheaply made, very sturdy if you put it together correctly, instructions are easy enough, and looks great! Husband and wife tag team to put together the armoire. The first one took 2 hours, the second one took 1.5 hours and the third one took 1 hour so in total 4.5 hrs. We had EDM music playing in the background so it kept us motivated throughout the process. The directions were very easy to follow. Both the directions and holes predrilled were fairly easy to assemble. Due to the size it came in 3 sections but once the first was assembled it went much faster. We are pleased with armoire as far as the way it looks but the lack of the 5th star in the rating was simply due to the material in the outer pieces. It came in six boxes and building it was a bit of a daunting task, but it was definitely worth it! It looks great and has made the room feel so much more organized. I was a bit overwhelmed by all of the boxes, so in case anyone else has a bit of building anxiety - they are two separate cabinet units that you can then latch together so the process can be done in parts if you do not have a full day to dedicate to putting it together. There were two sets of three boxes: one that was 1 of 2; one that was 2 of 2; and one that was unlabeled. You can build a functional cabinet set with a 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. The unlabeled box was the smaller top cabinets for that particular set! Also, my electric screwdriver proved to be worth every penny in putting this together. I love these!! I purchased 2 for my guest room. They were easy to put together, take your time and think it through and it is a snap. I will say that the smallest screws that are provided are annoying and they did not hold well, especially putting the doors on toward the end - but I still gave it a 5 star rating - they were VERY cost effective!!. I had to find some that were a tad bit longer from my box of leftover screws. I also used some Wood Glue when screwing the doors to the frame. Not bad for this "elderly" woman!! :). Melinda. Just what I needed! I put 2 of them in my craft room and my room looks neat as a pin. They are on carpet so I didn't use the legs, more stability. I kept the legs in case I put them on flooring. Either way they are sturdy and cute. My husband helped me put the second one together and agreed that it was very well manufactured. Beautiful piece! Looks even nicer in person. I paid for subcontractors off Angi's list, through Wayfair, to handle the assembly. That went well. Very nice men who were efficient and kind. They had it assembled in 2 1/2 hours and it would have taken me at least a full day. You pay extra for this and it is worth the fee. There are three areas on the piece that need to be replaced by Wayfair (contacting them tomorrow). A door that is warped and does not match up with the door next to it, a flaw in the center main door, and a door that does not soft close as it should. The soft close feature is so nice on all the other doors and drawers. The handles are beautiful and nicely made. The color of the armoire is gorgeous.
