This table is pretty and good quality considering the price. It's sturdy and I'm confident will last a long time. I was, however, disappointed to see the top is not one solid piece, but rather, 2 long pieces screwed together. I looked, I thought, very closely at the description and pictures, but that detail was not obvious. Looking back, I see there is one picture that shows it, but most of the pictures blend the seam on the table (at least for the honey oak color). Having a solid table was something I specifically wanted which makes this a big disappointment for me. This set is beautiful, a perfect size for my space. It is as pictured. The cherry finish is not overly “ red”. Matches my cabinetry very well. Solid feeling set, chain/ gears for the expansion leaf. There was a small nick in table edge, should cover easily. There was a scratch , maybe just in the varnish, of the pedestal base, won’t easily be seen. It’s a very nice set. However, I regret not having purchased the version of it with the chairs just wood, without the upholstery. I had assumed that in the future the fabric on the chairs could be replaced. However, the professional who assembled it let me know that in this particular furniture it’s not possible to replace the fabric upholstery on the chairs. So, once they get dirty or old, that’s it. I think, it should be mentioned in the online description that the fabric on the chairs cannot be replaced. Also, the professional assembly fee for the set was quite expensive. (It didn’t take the professional so long to do it. I think, the assembly fee listed for it was not assessed appropriately.) In addition, the fabric on the chairs are a bit shiny looking. This table feels sturdy and solid. My purchase came with free in home installation which I was very happy to have. Cushions on the chairs are firm and comfortable. Color matched well with my floor. After over a year of using, it’s still holding strong. Two minor notes, the leaf for expansion is a little difficult to get use to using. Willing to admit it may be user error.
