Hickory Base Cabinet

All of our Cedar Log Furniture is crafted using northern white cedar. We harvest our cedar locally from its Minnesota location. We even operate our own cedar sawmill that produces the lumber for our furniture! Northern white cedar is extremely light and quite soft but boasts excellent decay resistance and strength despite these characteristics. Cedar Log is our most complete collection and one of our most popular lines of furniture. Seeing as we have more than 25 years of experience building it, we have it down to a science – as such, no one can boast a more solidly-built, beautiful natural log furniture.

We bought two of these. Great look! Rustic enough yet finished well, with a satin sheen. I like knowing that they’re made from old tobacco barns since my grandfather grew up on a tobacco farm in North Carolina. I’m giving them four stars because the drawer runners on one of the chests were not secured to the frame. My husband had to get creative and eventually was able to attach them. Wayfair gave us a small credit for the trouble and inconvenience however.. Janet. Sun Nov 08 2020

Overall a good purchase. Timely delivery. Works well with my existing bedroom furniture. Great size and price. Looks like real wood unlike most "wood" furniture these days. Would have preferred real wood drawer bottoms and back. "Dovetail" led me to believe these were real wood drawers. Also wish the drawers didn't open on their own when tipped, ouch.. Anna. This is an excellent choice for furniture due to its innate strength, density, and character. Its source hickory from the American southeast where it is harvested in late fall and through mid-winter when its moisture content is low. From here it is kiln-dried, and the bark tightens around the logs during the process providing a pleasant texture, and a time-tested look and durability. Hickory log collection also features a live-edge bark trim around its tops to further accentuate the piece. When added to the gorgeously intricate graining patterns, it creates a timeless look that furthers its rustic appeal.
