Looks beautiful! Some parts came damaged but got replacements super quick with no problem. When putting together you have to take apart the metal sliding tracks to install. Only part I got stuck on. You have to slide it twice before you can see the latch to release the third part. Also beware the metal parts have oil goop in the crevices. Gets on your hands when sliding them apart but washes off easily. Will have to buy another mattress to go with the one provided. Personal preference but the mattress it comes with seems thin. We absolutely love our Mandujano Murphy Bed in the Barnwood finish. After downsizing, we needed our larger office to double as a guest room, and this bed is perfect. It’s solid wood, extremely well built, and the design is brilliant — when folded up, it looks like a beautiful chest of drawers, and the bottom drawer is a real storage drawer that holds pillows, sheets, and a blanket. We bought the matching mattress thinking we might upgrade it later, but it’s genuinely comfortable. I referenced the assembly youtube to help get the actual visual process along the way. There were reviews about the mattress not being super comfortable (I would agree- functional, not what I would offer to a guest), so I purchased a memory topper for when it's being used. It is easy to transform to a bed. I did also make sure I had a rug to put under it, as someone commented that the one frame piece is not connected to the rest of the frame when in bed form and might move around. Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. Love this unusual Murphy stand-alone "flip" bed! It's an expansive desk with integrated electrical and USB port. When the need for an additional guest bed arises, you undo just two large screw pins and the desk portion lowers (with everything on it!) and the twin bed "flips" into view, and you reinsert the screw pins. It is impressively good wood - very sturdy. Straps hold the twin mattress (bought separately) very snugly. I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I have assembled lots of furniture in my life so I was not intimidated. I purchased a 6" mattress for it and it feels comfortable when I lay on it to test it our.
