The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. I like the roominess under the bed allowed by the height of the bed frame, which makes it good for storage if you're inclined. The 14" tall frame gives about 12" of space under it. This frame has worked out well for me. It's easy to assemble, and feels very sturdy. My only comment, and reason for 4 stars is the fact that there are two outward facing screws on each side of the bed that are silver, so very visible if there's nothing covering the bedframe.
