Love the bed! Very sturdy! That being said- the number stickers are ridiculous to get off, there are areas where you can see paint marks from darker to white (i got the white option) and the number of screws on the stairs with no screw cover stickers provided makes things look a bit cheap. I was extremely happy with this purchase. I wish the screws had been labeled a little more clearly, but I was very happy with the quality of the frame and the screws. This is for my 11 year old. He uses the desk to build his legos on and we store some tubs of lego's under the desk so that they are accessible for him to create things. The LED lights don't do much to light up under the bed. They are more for fun to decorate under the bed. We have added some LED lighting in different places under his bed so that it is depressing to hang out under there. It hurts a bit to climb the ladder. Not my favorite thing. However, I have discovered that most bunkbeds have this issue. The bed is a teeny bit squeaky if wiggled. My 17yr old son and I built the bed. However, I did most of it myself and I just called my son in to help with the mattress support railing. (You need two people.
