Sturdy once assembled, we would have given 5 stars for the finished product if the assembly hadnt been so difficult. We had to drill holes. More than a screwdriver was needed, and the screwdriver needed to be electric if you didnt want to get carpal tunnel syndrome. There were 42 screws needed to assemble the slatted mattress platforms alone. It took my experinced in assembly daughter 6 hours with the help of her 8 year old son to do the job.
