Very sturdy ,the music feature is a plus. I cant use a skirt due to the extension cord for lights needing room to move.I think I solved the problem by ordering a " tree collar",which I've noticed is also being used these days. This tree stand comes with single cable operation, stand is very easy to use just put in the tree hold it straight and step on the foot pedal until the claw firmly tightens the trunk, automatic water level indicator shows when to stop and when your tree needs more water.
