We purchased the blue bunks. The color is beautiful for our grandsons big boy room. My husband assembled the beds in 3- 3 12 hours. The parts were labeled and ready to go. I'm happy with the bunk bed. But my kids are ecstatic. They were celebrating it for like 30 minutes. And the best part is they sleep better now. Putting it together was as difficult as advertised and due to my fitness level, I was sore for days after. The instructions were thorough, though could have been better as some steps could be merged with later ones to make the construction easier to accomplish. And the slats portion could be improved significantly as some were shorter than others. Those steps also didn't convey that the position of each wasn't fixed. So I had to measure the bed frame and put marks down to ensure I did it evenly. I would have expected markings on the frame to indicate where the slats would go. Our 2 and 4 year old girls love this bunk bed. It's low enough on the top where they're not scared. There's not much room to sit up on the bottom but that's expected. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!.
