This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty. As a result, they dont slide easily, which is very annoying for high traffic drawers (stoppers have fallen at first use) - Frame is bigger than the average queen mattress so it looks very cheap when you can see the boards underneath Instructions are nightmare. It is unclear which sides of pieces to use so you constantly need to disassemble and re assemble. - You absolutely need an electric screw driver, if you dont want to be putting this together for days - Holes are misaligned and some are missing Color is ok and it has a good height - but it does not offset all the cons of this bed. This bed was purchased because we liked the rounded corners at the base and the tall headboard. It is substantial and heavy. However, the paint job was pathetic. The bed itself is solid. It’s good quality. It took about 45 minutes to assemble but wasn’t difficult. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd piece of furniture that has arrived damaged this week with the first two not yet resolved. The Wayfair rep told me I had to repackage the item and drop them off at FedEx which is not my responsibility. I’m waiting to hear from a supervisor but haven’t and that was 4 days ago. We just bought a new home and we have many more rooms to furnish. I am a Wayfair Rewards member and have been very happy with all previous orders up until the last 3 shipments. If this isn’t resolved I won’t be purchasing anything else. We simply do not have the time to assemble, reassemble or take damaged items to FedEx. Disappointing.
