Great desk for a 9 year old. The drawers are fabric, the top one doesn't go in all the way because of the bar in the back. I searched for a reasonably priced white desk that was balanced even on both sides. Some had drawers on 1 side just a skinny panel or leg for the other side. This one was even and simple clean look. I like the file cabinet drawers are useful good size drawers to use. The middle drawer is a little small, but lots of space for your child to use. The file cabinet (5 drawers) is also detachable if you want to use it for something else like a night stand. I wanted the desk balanced. I wish it was real wood, but I also didnt pay for real wood. Overall this is a nice desk for a teenager. My daughter loves it does her homework. I may eventially buy a glass top for it.. Adriana. Bonita, CA. Wed Oct 14 2026
