I purchased a bag of (Green)XL pottie pads nearby had to put 2 pads out because there weren’t wide enough or long enough. I was very disappointed that they claimed these were XL. Works great! Most pet steps are not built for long dogs (dachshunds). These work great for her to get onto the couch and it folds up to an ottoman or seat when needed. This dog bed is really cool and I love that it is raised. It’s actually the same velvety material as my couch that has ottomans the dogs love to lay on. So, I thought they would love this and it would be a no brainer. However, they don’t seem so gravitate toward it. I guess it’s a little small for something that is not on the ground for the to lay on. The upside is that the cats really love it. I would highly recommend this for smaller dogs!! Best dog pen mat. I purchased the x- large size. Heavy enough to lay flat and doesn't bunch up. Most mats new, have a lingering chemical odor. This one had none. Also it has a nice waterproof backing to protect floors. I bought at least 6 the last 3 years. It washes easily in front end loader washer machine. I use odorless wash soap. My original purchases, even washed 2 to 3 times a week, looks new. Best mat and money well spent. Buy the biggest, if your placing under large pen. It doesn't shrink.
