I purchased this Japanese blossom wall art for a tall wall in my home. After receiving it, I realized the piece looked smaller than I had expected for that space, so I decided to install it in my dining room instead. It fits the dining room much better and adds a pleasant decorative touch. The artwork itself is attractive, although the colors appear a little more faded than shown in the pictures. Nutshell Five Star for Value I was initially a little disappointed in the clarity hoped it would be more vivid. One can easily tell it’s an enlarged copy, but you can still get a feel of the dense laden, visible brushstrokes, dramatic effect. It also is not tightly mounted as the canvas waves a little — this might be a good feature should someone bump into it or when dusting (too tight might tear easily). The hook mount on the back was not centered (inch off), but was easy to remove correct. Considering the 120 price (free ship) the VALUE is VERY GOOD. Arrived quickly. I can be critical, but my wife and I are both very happy. Obviously 500-1000 piece would probably be an upgrade, but this accomplished the need to add color to our small TV room. One of many paintings that Van Gogh made of the countryside surrounding Arles. The Impressionist movement was waning and transitioning to Modernism. Fitting in neither, Vincent traveled to the countryside to be immersed in nature and desired to trailblaze a painting movement, but the art world did not follow him there. It was during this time that his soulful swirling colors and thickly laid brush strokes became a signature of his now beloved art style.
