They are sticky, but for the edge, you can use some contact glue on the underlayer to enhance it. Honestly the best flooring I’ve used yet. Very easy to cut and work with. I chose to use my saw, no issues with splitting or cutting. It all snapped in together nicely. This engineered flooring is a neutral greige tone. The finish is smooth with no wood texture feel. The top and bottom plank are full length where the middle pieces are split which I thought was odd but maybe that’s how all boxes come The backside of the planks are a rustic finish that I kind of like (see last photo). I Just installed this floor so I can’t speak to the durability of it just yet. I have a very active Schnauzer and 9 year and it’s been great and super easy to maintain. Installation was a breeze (a local contractor installed it) and ordering from wayfair was amazing (ordered 800sq feet). We did three rooms on the main level. The first picture is with natural light for reference. Planks are a good width with decent thickness. This product in the Castelao series puts emphasis on the details to create a totally unique flooring experience. Due to the natural glow and the vineyard series has high color variation. Meaning, the color hues will span a range from low to high for added brilliance.
