These lanterns are beautiful! I got the bronze. They are well made with attention to detail. The instructions state to charge them for 6 hours. I received them at 3:45 pm. My apartment faces east, and the sun was already over my apartment building, no longer on my balcony or coming in any windows. I set them on the balcony receiving only daylight. At dark, they lit right up full power. So, either they were already charged, or the daylight was adequate for charging. I get only about 3 hours of sun on my balcony due to trees and the building east of mine being higher on a ridge and blocking sun at times , so they have never been charged for 6 hours straight. This light fixture is a nice upgrade to our old one. It's larger and the tempered glass really adds some extra glow at night. The installation was fairly easy until the copper ground wire came undone from the fixture. It was attached with a standard clip but the clip was slightly loose. It was a pretty easy fix though. Just slid it back in and clamped the clip down with some pliers. The rest of the wiring was just fine and straight-forward. The instructions were very clear. It was packaged very well.. Julie.
