The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool. I love the fabric on these stools. They haven’t had a stain on them yet, but plan to put scotchguard on them since they will be used a lot in the kitchen. My husband put them together fairly easy.
