This cutting board was inspired by the original boos butcher blocks that were made from a solid piece of hardwood. their product is as close to nature as you can get and has a unique story. Each board is kiln-dried, with rustic edges and slight variances. You can even count the age rings. Some of their boards will have more grain than others; some will have knotholes and discolorations. All these features make each board beautiful, unique, and full of character just like they made them in 1887. Which one of their all-natural rustic-edge design cutting boards speaks to you.

You will notice Tramontina's 17.75 in x 13.5 in Teak Wood End-Grain Chopping Board thanks to its distinctive pattern. You'll love the chopping board - favored by cooking enthusiasts because it requires little to no maintenance. End-grain chopping boards are made from short pieces of lumber - in our case, durable, authentic Brazilian teak wood - that are grafted together vertically with the end pieces making up the surface. The look is as eye-catching as it is functional. The board's dense surface also makes it more stable during use - while it is carved out a groove along the edge catches juice or liquid so it won't spill over the side.

The perfect catch. Gourmet Acacia Wood Cutting Board features a large cavity to seize all scraps, juices, and more to minimize messes and make cleanup a breeze. Slips and movement are conveniently reduced due to four rubber pads on the board's bottom side. Keep your countertop free of cutting leftovers and make big jobs easy with this board. Preparation made simple. **Use & Care** Wash Ironwood Gourmet products in warm, soapy water and thoroughly rinse with clean water. Do not soak. To dry, prop up off of the counter to allow all surfaces to air dry evenly. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher. After drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with Butcher Block Oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.

Many cooks prefer to use different cutting boards for preparing meats and vegetables. To help segregate food types, we have chosen a simple, affordable board and clearly branded opposite sides with meat and vegetable icons. Now it TAKES TWO sides of one board to do all the prep work. J.K. Adams has built them with softened edges and a smooth finish, in the sizes you need. These are the cutting boards you'll reach for the moment you walk into the kitchen. They'll last you a lifetime - or until your children demand them when they move away from home. Made of hard rock sugar maple.

This was exactly what I wanted. I needed to replace previous cutting board that fit nicely between the tines of the drying rack and wasn't too heavy or to large.
