Great rug pad, would buy again. Lise. Grand Rapids, MI. Thu Oct 22 2026

The luxury vinyl plank-safe rug pad is engineered specifically for vinyl plank and tile flooring, constructed of felt and an EVA nonslip backing. This pad is designed without rubber and latex and does not contain harmful plasticizers, such as phthalates, that can react with certain floor finishes. Its closed-cell backing provides a moisture barrier, stopping spills and pet accidents alike from seeping through to your floor.

I bought this rug pad as a second choice. The one I had wanted was out of stock. I wanted a pad that was pet friendly and in case of accidents would protect the hard wood floor beneath it. The first day it was down it was tested and it passed. Protected the floor. I love cushion it provides as the rug I have chosen is a little thin. I would highly recommend this rug pad. . Will. Love our new area rug SO MUCH! It is absolute perfection! We have been working for a couple of months now to get our new hardwoods installed, so I have been trying to get our photos taken despite the mess. (I have one here where we have just yesterday gotten the new rug on the new flooring, but please forgive that we still have a ways to go to get everything perfect again). Anyway, the rug. Oh my goodness - it is beautiful! As you can see, initially we laid it on top of our carpet, so it didn’t lay quite perfectly; but on our new hardwoods, it is wonderful! I was a tad worried about the fold marks showing too (I am not a fan of “folded rugs” as opposed to rolled), but the folds also seem to be relaxing. Thankfully. The rug overall really is very beautiful. We chose the beige/brown and I could not be more pleased with the look, or how well it goes with our new floors! It has the perfect combination of creams, ivory, sand colors, browns, even some greys, and touches of darker charcoal colors throughout. The rug is insanely soft on your bare feet, and the vintage-looking or distressed design is so well done. We just love it! Another reviewer felt the design looked “digital”, but ours does not come across as digital at all - rather, it has a very charming, sophisticated look to it that we feel is the perfect addition to our new floors! If you like the design and the colors in this area rug, it comes as a highly recommended must have! We are so pleased we with our order and think you will be too! (Reviewed 18 OCTOBER 2026). Presley. ALTHROP® has been developed and engineered to obtain the best nonskid performance for a rug pad. The product is made of two different polyester fibers needle-punched together and coated, on both sides, with a specially formulated water-based, pressure-sensitive dry adhesive that will outperform pads coated with a plain polymeric-acrylic resin.  ALTHROPs two components, containing 12 ounces of fiber per square yard, gives the pad enough body and density to resist the horizontal movement that creates the buckling effect of the underlay under the rug.

The Slip-Stop Rug on the Carpet rug pad is low profile and designed to help combat carpet shift and keep area rugs in place over carpeted floors. Fast and easy to install, you won’t even realize it’s there as it helps prevent dangerous and frustrating bunching and sliding. Don’t let its low profile fool you. Rug on Carpet lives up to its name with a strong, solid construction built using our own adhesive application process.
