My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. We are extremely pleased with the cat villa. It was not difficult to assemble; pre-drilled holes were accurately placed, all parts were present and the instructions were clear and thorough. The villa is made out of solid wood and the glass doors hang perfectly. There are multiple levels which are easy for the cats to navigate. I have two cats that use it. One cat is 17 lbs and the other is 10 lbs. They each have a fluffy pad on two of the levels to sleep on. I have placed a full size litter box with high sides on the lowest level. A bowl each of water and dry food are on the platforms. My cats are still getting used to the new routine of spending time in the villa but neither are stressed by being in it and usually are asleep in a short time. Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house.
