I am happy to leave a review for the Paxton Barrel Sauna. It was better than expected. In terms of operation it heats up fast and provides a great experience (used 3 times so far). But beyond that was the setup. The instructions and packaging could not have been better. I spread out the boxes and plucked from each as I went along and kept referring to packing lists to find the components. Not what they suggest but it worked for me. I highly recommend this product and the company. One call to Backyard Discovery and I received 20 screws that I seemed to have misplaced. I am going to order a greenhouse next!!. Jrwilson. Love my new sauna seems to work well goes up to 140°. It takes me about 20 minutes to warm it up. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Quality Real Sauna Experience Delivery was fast and professional — they rolled the crate right into my garage. Everything arrived in perfect condition and very well packaged. Assembly took about 12 hours with two people. I’m pretty handy, but having a second person definitely helps. The barrel design goes together logically if you take your time. The cedar wood quality is excellent, and once heated, the smell is incredible — exactly what you expect from a traditional sauna. The 6 kW heater performs great. It heats the sauna to 180°F in about an hour. I prefer higher temps (185°F), and with minor airflow adjustments I’m confident it can reach 185–190°F. Steam over the stones feels strong but comfortable. As a heavy sauna user, I was very satisfied with how my body felt afterward — deep relaxation and a powerful sweat. Energy use seems reasonable for a 6 kW unit. Important tip The heater has a delay timer zone. To start heating immediately, turn the knob clockwise past the delay section and then back slightly into the first heating zone. Otherwise, it will wait before turning on. Also, after about one hour the heater automatically shuts off, so you’ll need to repeat the turn-on procedure if you want to maintain heat longer. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase. The process of assembly was very poor with no clear photos of the sauna we purchased. This thing was easy to assemble, looks good and works well. It took about 30 minutes to reach max temperature when it was about 55° outside. The instructions are poorly translated and sometimes don't make sense but putting it together is pretty intuitive anyway. It has a strong cedar smell, which may be really nice or a little too much, depending on your preferences. We've had it for about 2 weeks and are enjoying using it. The heating panels get really hot (surprise!) so make sure to put a towel over them if they'll be coming in contact with bare skin. No regrets using this as a substitute for a conventional sauna.
