My 10 year old has the top bunk and my 2 year old has the bottom.. while it is a beautiful bed, I will say that when my 10 year old at 110 pounds moves around you can definitely feel movement and wobbling from below, but there is a steel bar that runs underneath the top bunk that reassures me that it is secure. It took us a about 3 hours to build, just make sure that the headboard and footboard are in the right facing position bc we had to redo ours. I also will note that the headboard and footboard slats dont fit in snuggly and are wobbly. Pine wood is a softer wood and I am already aware of some dings and dents but am still happy that this is not an MDF product so should hope last still for some years. Overall, still a better price point than big box stores and the value is there for us and our family. Would recommend knowing that its not perfect but functional.. Kerisah. Matthews, NC. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bunk bed, especially for the price. It was fairly easy to put together, just time consuming because there are so many parts. It took two of us 2 hours. The parts were clearly labeled and the instructions were mostly clear. There are a couple minor issues one leg must have been drilled crooked because the leg is not lined up exactly right and there are 2 screws, so we can’t correct it. Plus there was a small dent on one of the rails. Another minor inconvenience is that since everything was labeled well, there are a lot of stickers to remove and they don’t come off the easiest. The biggest negative is that the ladder rungs are small and square and hurt your feet when climbing. Hopefully that’s not an issue for kids who are lighter, but it’s definitely an issue for adults.. We got this bunk bed with storage for our kids, and it has been a total game changer for their room. The bed feels sturdy and safe. The guardrails on the top bunk are solid, and the ladderstairs are stable enough that I don’t worry about them climbing up and down. Once it was fully assembled, there was no wobbling or squeaking. Assembly did take a few hours, so definitely set aside time and have another adult help. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!.
