Well made and easy to assemble. Not the most stable bunk bed we’ve ever owned, but it is enough for an older kidteen who won’t be jumping on it. This bed has suited our family's needs well, so far. It seems pretty sturdy, isn't too high so I'm not concerned when my 3 year old climbs up. My 5 year old is on the lower bunk and can sit up without hitting her head. The slats on the bottom bunk allow the mattress to be elevated off of the floor. The reason I gave it 4 stars was for assembly. While I found the directions clear, there were two items mislabeled and I did not realize until I was halfway through construction. I had to completely disassemble to fix the issue. So I would recommend double checking the hole placements in the photos along with the labels on each piece to confirm that you are using the correct piece at each step. Another issue that I had was one screw broke during assembly, another has broken off since, and there was 1 screw missing. The bed turned out in the end and we're happy with it. As a mom of boys, I’ve purchased and assembled several bunk beds over the years to know that these are my favorites to date. I was able to put the bunks together in an hour by myself without any issues. The bunk is sturdy, and I have no concerns about stability or the bed slats coming out, as they snap into place. The attached ladder doesn't take up floor space or block access to the bottom bunk. The height of the bottom bunk not only prevents anyone from bumping their head but also gives my boys a lounge space to read or watch TV. My only complaints are that I wish the upper side rails were higher since current mattresses are not thin, so our mattress sits flush with the rail. We use a pool noodle under the sheet along the rail for extra peace of mind. If your mattress is on the thinner side, you won’t have any issues. The second is that I wish the clearance underneath was just an inch or two taller, as it wouldn’t impact the bottom bunk and would allow larger totes to be stored under the bed.
