Steelcase Lumbar Support Wood Stool

Ergonomic PU leather drafting chair featuring a walnut wood back. The seat height (22"–30") and foot ring (3.5"–8") adjust independently, providing full flexibility for standing desks, drafting tables, or tall counters. Its PU leather seat and backrest deliver soft, supportive comfort, while the walnut veneer back panel adds a refined mid-century modern look. With an armless design for freedom of movement and a durable rolling base, this chair is ideal for designers, architects, and professionals who demand both function and aesthetics.

3.75 stars ... Nice chair BUT The seat and back are NOT adjustable, so you are encouraged to keep your posture correct (you're welcome, Mother) to avoid back fatigue. THIS IS NOT an all-day sitting chair. Also, the footrest ring is adjustable for height--nice for we petite ones--but the ring is thin/small so not comfortable for bare feet (and I don't wear shoes in the house). ALSO, the "ivory" faux leather is more of a putty color. Important if that matters to you. Assembly was easy, done in about 15 minutes alone. Overall, for the price, the wood-toned back and bottom, and a chair that you would use at your standing/drafting desk during those moments you want to stop standing, it's fine. I'm not sending it back. But I'm also not giving it 5 stars for reasons stated.. Audrey H. New York City. Sat Oct 10 2026

I’m really enjoying my newly purchased HÅG chair! It’s incredibly agile yet sturdy, providing excellent back support. The design is both stylish and comfortable, making it a great choice for anyone who spends long hours at a desk—whether working on a keyboard or playing instruments. This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. Extremely Comfortable, Supportive, and Perfect for a Standing Desk! I’m extremely pleased with this chair! It’s comfortable, well-structured, and provides excellent back support. The breathable mesh material is a major plus, particularly for someone who spends long hours working at a desk. The lumbar support is comfortable, and the overall construction feels thoughtfully designed. One important thing buyers should understand This is truly a drafting chair, not a traditional office chair. I purchased it specifically to use with my adjustable standing desk, and for that purpose, it’s an excellent choice. The elevated seating position allows me to alternate between standing and sitting without having to lower my desk completely. However, even at its lowest height, my feet do not reach the floor. The chair includes a circular footrest, which is essential for supporting your feet while seated. This isn’t necessarily a design flaw it’s simply something buyers should understand before purchasing. I work approximately 50 hours a week at my desk, so ergonomics matter to me. While the chair is extremely comfortable, I do think there are potential drawbacks to spending extended periods seated in an elevated position, particularly if you’re accustomed to resting your feet on the floor. Having a footrest helps, but it’s not quite the same as sitting in a traditional office chair. My recommendation If you’re purchasing this as your only desk chair, consider whether the elevated seating position will work for your daily routine. You likely won’t be able to sit with your feet flat on the floor, even at the lowest setting. For my needs, that’s exactly why I purchased it! I wanted the flexibility to stand or sit at my standing desk without sacrificing comfort or support. The chair also has a clean, modern appearance that works well in my workspace without looking overly industrial. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars! Excellent comfort, breathable materials, supportive construction, and a great option for an elevated workstation. Just make sure you’re buying the right type of chair for your setup.. Lashotha. Chair is very high quality, it has a very solid feel and is really well made. Assembly took less than a minute and required no tools. Lots of seat adjustments and overall a great purchase. The only thing I'm not exactly crazy about is that the seat cushion is pretty hard and can get uncomfortable after a while. Overall I don't regret the purchase. Great chair.. Matt. Aurora, IL. I’ve had the chair for awhile and I love it. It’s lasted so far and has endured a few cat hairballs and cleaned up well. I did change the wheels for rubber ones as soon as it was delivered, so I can’t speak on the wheels it comes with. It’s cat approved and worth the buy!. Remington S. Dfw Area. Wed Oct 07 2026

The Amia chair has a secret. Beneath the Amia chair's upholstery, inside its sleek backrest, there's a unique comfort system called live lumbar™ technology. As you sit in the chair an adjustable live lumbar™ zone flexes with your every move for consistent ergonomic support for your lower back, hour after hour, day after day. I LOVE my navy and silver task chair. The upholstery is perfect; very smooth for my sensitive skin. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have this ergonomic task chair with all the bells and whistles that work so easily. The lumbar feels so good on my back. The arms are so flexible to move any which way I need them to. The casters are perfect for my hardwood floor; I can flip from one area of my desk to the other freely. It was so easy to take the well-protected chair out of the packaging. It is a fantastic buy. The entire experience was exceptional and I am thrilled. Thank you Wayfair for selling Steelcase and thank you Steelcase for still being the #1 manufacturer of task chairs after all these many years! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!. Carolishca. Lake Worth, FL.
